MANILA, Philippines – The PBA Governors’ Cup finals come off the wraps on Sunday, October 27, as defending champion TNT and Barangay Ginebra begin their best-of-seven clash at the Ynares Center in Antipolo.
The title duel features a rematch of the Governors’ Cup finals last year, which saw the Tropang Giga dethrone the Gin Kings for their first-ever championship in the import-flavored conference.
All eyes will be on the matchup of TNT’s Rondae Hollis-Jefferson and Ginebra’s Justin Brownlee as they meet again with a championship at stake.
Hollis-Jefferson not only beat Brownlee in the Best Import battle but also dealt the beloved Gin Kings star his first loss in a finals series.
In the finals for the eight time, Brownlee eyes redemption as he seeks to win a seventh championship with Ginebra, which will make him the winningest import in PBA history.
