Nic Chien will also be joining his real-life mother Salonga as a member of the cast, playing the role of Jack.
Joreen Bautista and Mark Bautista will be playing Rapunzel and Rapunzel’s prince, respectively. Real-life couple Nyoy Volante and Mikkie Bradshaw-Volante, meanwhile, will be playing the baker and the baker’s wife, respectively.
Other cast members set to take the Samsung Performing Arts Theater stage are Joaquin Pedro Valdes as Prince Charming and the Wolf, and Arielle Jacobs as Cinderella.
Based on the book by James Lapine, Into the Woods sees some of the most beloved fairy-tale characters — such as Jack from Jack and the Beanstalk, Ridinghood from Little Red Riding Hood, Rapunzel, and Cinderella — come together in one “world.” The story follows a childless baker and his wife, who cross paths with a witch who places a curse on them as they strive to start their own family. – Rappler.com
