MANILA, Philippines – The campaign period for the national elections has begun. It started last Tuesday, February 11. It’s not even been a week since it started, but we’ve seen a lot of spectacle and even bluster — this election will largely be a contest between allies of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on one side, and those of former president Rodrigo Duterte on the other.
The campaign period is 90 days — and so much has happened. What else should voters expect? Will this election period be the same as those that came before it?
