Former Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte goes through an initial proceeding at the International Criminal Court, where he appears for the first time Friday evening, March 14 Manila time.

The swift arrest of former president Rodrigo Duterte followed normal local procedures and even complied with the liberal rules of a special tribunal like the International Criminal Court.

A Special Action Force policewoman was taken to the hospital after Honeylet Avanceña, the partner of former President Rodrigo Duterte, threw a cellphone at the lady cop, Tuesday March 11 at the Villamor Air Base.
