MANILA, Philippines – Filipino singer-songwriter Zack Tabudlo said “big things after coming up” after he signed with American record label Mercury Records.
Tabudlo announced the news on Wednesday, February 19, as he fondly looked back on his humble beginnings on the way to his new career milestone.
“After so many years in the making, we’re finally here,” Tabudlo wrote on his social media accounts.
“It’s funny how quickly life can turn around. From being a normal kid in the Philippines writing songs in my tiny room after school, to now being signed by one of the biggest record labels in America.”
Mercury Records, which is owned by the Universal Music Group, is home to award-winning artists Post Malone and Zayn.
Other artists in its roster include Jeremy Zucker, Bo Burnham, Stephen Sanchez, James Bay, and the band AJR.
“Big things are coming up! And I can’t wait for you guys to hear what I’ve been working on! I love you and thank you for sticking with me in this journey. We just got started,” Tabudlo said.
Tabudlo, 23, is known for hits “Pano,” “Binibini,” “Habang Buhay,” “Nangangamba,” and “Gusto,” and has over six million monthly listeners on Spotify.
He released his latest single, “Diving,” on Friday, February 21.
“Thank you for all of the years of support, love, and of course, for listening, crying, dancing, and shouting your hearts out with the music and stories I’ve created,” Tabudlo said.
“You all are the reason why I started my journey with music, and i truly couldn’t have done it without all of you.” – Rappler.com
