MANILA, Philippines – If you’re a home improvement junkie whose idea of a good time is reorganizing your kitchen cabinets or setting a nice dinner table just because, then the arrival of Martha Stewart’s Houseware Collection in the Philippines might be good news to you, too.
The famous TV homemaker’s dining ware and beginner-friendly cooking cutlery are now available at select SM Home branches in Metro Manila — in SM Store Megamall, Makati, North Edsa, Mall of Asia, and Aura, with more locations coming soon.
More than just plates and pans
Officially launched in April, the Homeware Collection follows Martha Stewart’s earlier collection in Manila last year, which sold mostly linens, beddings, and towels. The new drop of Martha Home Philippines goes straight to the heart of the home: the kitchen.

It’s not just elegant dinnerware and sleek glassware (though there’s plenty of that); everything you need to fill up a kitchen and dining space is here. Plus, most of Martha’s designs are youthful, playful, and timeless, not dated or dusty.

There are adorable placemats, aprons, pot holders, oven mittens, and kitchen towels printed with dogs, tomatoes, chickens, and sunflowers — like a modern version of quaint countryside staples.

The collection covers all the bases for hosting a classy dinner party: ceramic dinnerware sets (16-piece sets with muted color accents for over P4,000); stainless steel flatware sets; glasses for wine, champagne, or iced tea; and cooking tools like cutlery sets, kitchen scissors, pizza cutters, ladles, graters, chopping boards, slotted spoons, basters, and more.

There are also wooden tools like rolling pins, chopping boards, spatulas, slotted spoons, and meat and cheese platters for a rustic, homey feel.

You’ll also notice that most of the collection has Martha Stewart’s signature teal hue, which is charmingly distinct and fresh but is subtle enough to add a pop of color to your kitchen without clashing with your interiors.

Home cooks can appreciate the basics: there’s a ceramic nonstick aluminum frying pan with a white or teal handle that goes for around P1,100; a Castelle stainless steel pan with a double-riveted handle that’s oven and induction-safe, starting at P2,100; and there’s also matching Castelle stainless steel pots (and a copper version) for around P4,499.

For slow roasts and stews, Martha Stewart also has a cast-iron Dutch oven with lid.

The quality is what you’d expect of a global brand, but surprisingly, the prices aren’t unreasonable for a mid-range collection. Martha Stewart’s branding keeps things light and lively while highlighting craftsmanship and timelessness.
